Chief Editor
Nick Conroy is a poet, facilitator and editor based in Hull. He is an alumni of the University of Hull, and currently works as a writer-in-residence for the charity First Story. His first poetry collection, Ghosts was published with Wild Pressed Books in 2019, followed by a short pamphlet Organics in a Vacuum. He is a Roundhouse Poetry Slam 2019 finalist, and has performed his spoken work at festivals including Contains Strong Language, Freedom Fest, Long Division, Leeds Lit Fest, Wirral Poetry Festival and Greater Manchester Fringe. He is the founder of project QR Poetry, a founding member of the collective No Larkin About, a member of the collective Gob Almighty and is co-organiser of the monthly Hull-based open mic night Word Journeys with Under 30s. |
Assistant Editor
Lauren Ranson is a poet, rapper and facilitator based in Hull. She has been published in Bonnie’s Crew, and the Wild Pressed Anthology Dark Animals. She is a founding member of No Larkin About and has performed with them in Hull and around Yorkshire. She is a freelance media consultant working for Wild Pressed Books. As well as studying politics at the University of Hull, Lauren also regularly studies the interesting and bizarre behavioural patterns of her two cats Rio and Fergie. |
