The Red Ego

THE RED EGO by Lady Red Ego

This short collection of poems explores themes of identity, sexual trauma, and redemption within a lesbian relationship through the conflicting dimensions of The Red Ego, a furiously vulnerable alter-ego.

I am not a God,
but I drink from my own cup. Blood
rimmed mouth, I become a red circle.
A waterfall that pours
back into itself. Infinity. Two holes.
Some people call this an ego.
Some call it a
soul.
