A TASTE FOR BREAD deconstructs fairytales and myths (along with some real-life events) and focusses on overlooked characters’ explanations for their actions. Quite often these ‘baddies’ are older women who have acted against a young princess ripe for a prince’s picking, and their actions are put down to jealousy. Here they are given a chance to explain themselves.
Enter the world of myth and legend from Penny Blackburn’s perspective, and be prepared to be entranced.
