I’ll miss morning windows opening onto sea; on lochs and mountains;
On the ditches and gullies gouged into marsh grass,
Refilling as the tide flows in.
I’ll miss the rocking of the van when caught in the hands of the wind.
I’ll miss changeover time – from day to evening –
Rearranging blankets, pillows and letting the table down
To turn the dining area into a lounge
From which the dogs and me and him 
Will view the sun setting,
And the moon rising.
