Graham Hamilton
Graham Hamilton is from Sculcoates Lane in Hull, but ran away as a young man to become a professional dancer in London. He danced in the West End, on TV and in movies and choreographed over 50 dance works for his own group and others.
Subsequently he took a swerve into Cognitive Science, writing a Phd (Aspects of Visual Ambiguity) and became a Senior Lecturer. Since stepping down from that role, he grows vegetables and writes poems and songs, a music CD, “Feathers In The Wind’ was released in November 2019. His poems have appeared in ‘The Reater’, The Hull Connection’ and ‘Visions of the North’. |
THE OBLIVIOUS WHALE deals with landscape, nature, the seasons and the human condition. Graham Hamilton’s writing style is in turn sombre, lyrical and playful. There’s a strong sense of immediacy in place and relationship in some of the poems.
